The attached photos show why i purchased this hood for my ipad mini 4. No sun hood will block all glare but this one does a really good job. The photos show what the glare is like without the hood and the improvement with the hood. I also show how it looks like to set it up with an ipad mini 4 and my dji mavic air controller. You will have to get used to using it, but being able to read the screen while flying my drone was very important to me. The reason for my 4 stars is i would have liked the material to be if bit stiffer but that is by no means a game changer. This thing is worth every penny spent.
A bit cumbersome to established up on the ipad four mini, so i just depart it on all the time unless i have to pack my controller away for journey. The little port on the bottom won’t perform for me. Much too tiny (slender), so i inadvertently often contact the erroneous ‘button’ on the ipad display just by staying also near to it. So, i just go in from the top rated which functions for me. Most annoying matter about this hood is that the strap on the correct facet that secures the hood to the ipad strains up immediately with the volume button and depresses it. To stay clear of this i have to slide the strap to the proper to preserve it off the volume button, then the full hood is skewed on the ipad. Just just lately, the left strap slipped and broke off the lightening connector in my ipad. Luckily, i was ready to pull the broken piece out and there was no harm to the lightening port. There aren’t lots of wonderful decisions out there it appears, for a good hood.
Excellent merchandise specifically in this article in the vivid sunlight in australia.
This item is a very good idea but needs to be redesigned, the straps used to connect to the ipad mini presses on volume down button so if you rely on listening for the notification of atti mode you will not hear it. I placed this on two different ways and even kept the straps loose almost loose enough for the pad to fall out, not safe for your pad. It doesn’t stay square on the pad, it slides around unless you tighten it up hence the volume problem. It works great for keeping the glare off the pad but you have to mess with it continuously making for unsafe flying.
This guards your pleasure sticks and your monitor extremely perfectly. I like this solution due to the fact you never have to get rid of the pleasure sticks in transport. Getting rid of and reinstalling the pleasure sticks time right after time seem to be like it would inevitably injury the controller.
So naturally in come of the best/brightest weather – it is hardest to see the screen when flying your drone. This freewell sunshade took care of the issues and then some. It didn’t just darken it to see, it made is as clear and as bright as viewing a cell phone screen in a dark room. Plus it has a cutout where you can still adjust settings on the tablet to make sure you get that perfect shot. Setup is painless and folds flat for easy storage. In my opinion it is a must for those bright sunny days. Tablets tend to not be as bright and are the most difficult to see on a typical bright day. It’s a definite tool in the arsenal and to me is a must-have.
Remarkably suggest for drone use to see your ipad in sunny problems when flying in genuine lifetime circumstances. Sets up in minutes and truly does a wonderful career of blocking out the sunlight.
Say goodbye to squinting, washed out screens and glare on very bright days. Here in az the sun is out all the time and viewing my i pad mini with my mavic pro can be brutali had purchased some other items from freewell recently, and i was impressed with the quality of their filters and landing pad so i figured i would try this product and another during my most recent order. It attaches easily but threading up the clips takes a bit of trial and error. I had also ordered the freewell aircraft grade aluminum alloy tablet mount https://amzn. To/2dgxvhx and positioned the shade between the 2 clips that hold on my i pad mini. I found that stabilizes the hood really nicely. I also took a few small stips of adhesive hook velcro in white to match the face of my i pad mini https://amzn. To/2ks0lp6 cut them in half the long way and adhered them to my i pad face. Mind you that my mini is dedicated to my mavic so i don’t care if i have velcro on it. It makes seeing the color and small characters easier.
The quality of this product is terrific. Nevertheless, as one more reviewer pointed out, the base opening is not big plenty of for effortless display screen accessibility and quick monitor command manipulation. As you know, when it will come to managing drones you require pace and accuracy manipulating the fpv screen. Also considering that the sunlight doesn’t arrive from the floor substantially, the bottom sunlight shild wall is really pointless. I finished up shelving this and slipping again on the outdated three side rubber band mount kind.
