Brand: Blade Blade 180 QX HD RTF Vehicle : Excellent first quad-copter for the hobbiest.

Full review of this productchristinatroy.

It is better than the typical, entry level quad-copter. He says that it is easy to learn to fly, but not a child’s toy.

Sure, it’s my first quad, but i think it’s a great one to learn on. It’s small enough to use indoors- but understand that if you are a beginner it will obtain some battle scars. I have mainly flown it indoors and i’ve had some pretty major crashes. One of the drive gears is lose enough now that it pops off pretty easily. I let my sister fly it (big mistake) and she crashed it into the track lighting so hard that it put a 90 degree bend in one of the props. Straightened it out and am back in business.

Amazon was right on time on with delivery. Ive had my quad for about a week now and im really enjoying this blade qx 180 hd rtf. I have never flown any type of quad/copter or rc plane before. So i did my research and i chose qx180 and paid a little extra and it has paid off. The qx 180 has safe technology (stable air flying envelope) it’s made out of carbon fiber n aluminum. The shell and skid are kinda flimsy but it’s super light. Ive bounced off the ceiling and crashed it numerous times with no problems. It’s american made and parts are accessible and there are plenty of (how to tutorials) on you tube.

I was a little concerned because this arrived with the safety seal broken but was reassured by the company i ordered from. It was a gift for my son-in-law and he has nothing but good things to say. He has been flying it a lot indoors until it gets warmer and he loves it. He says it is quite sturdy and has hardly had any damage from crashes. I think one wire came loose and he was easily able to reattach it.

This is my 1st radio managed anything and i’ve been traveling it every single working day for 12 days. I fee this five stars for fun, flyability, toughness, and simplicity-of-use. A few stars for documentation (pretty puzzling at instances). Zero stars for documentation on digicam (even blade’s videos really don’t convey to you how to join the camera to the quad. ) suggestion: the connector on the quad is underneath the cover. You have to clear away the cover to plug the camera in. I have no plan which way the wire goes. Two stars for digital camera excellent. Only fantastic to experiment with.

This was a xmas present for my oldest. He had prompt this as a moderately priced quadcopter. Total it is easy to work–he is skilled with other rc flyers. He had no complications maneuvering the copter indoors (made the decision not to try out of doors due to the fact the wind was significantly way too potent. We realized toward the stop of christmas day that the plastic landing gear experienced cracked in close proximity to the foundation screws on just one of the four legs. Will investigate finding a substitution component if doable.

this quad is a blast to fly. Make sure you adjust the trims so the copter won’t drift in any way when it lifts off but just goes straight up. Mine took many clicks in quite a few directions to achieve this steadiness but now it will hover inches off the ground with nearly no regulate inputs. I have the continue to picture purpose performing but the video fails to document. Returning to horizon passion for replacement. I can quickly consider off and land on a smaller coffee desk in the residing home (surrounded by furniture, television, and so forth. I’ve experienced a few minor crashes with no destruction. If you’re new to flying helicopters, get a simulator to get the sense of flying in any direction with no turning into disoriented. I made use of realflight to hone my skills just before jeopardizing my expense and furniture in true flight.

  • Read, Watch and get your own

  • Outstanding performance at a great price but camera issues.

  • Fun but needs better gear and better documentation.

Blade 180 QX HD RTF Vehicle

  • Exclusive SAFE technology
  • E-flite EFC 721 camera with transmitter functionality
  • Small enough to fly indoors and powerful enough to fly outdoors
  • Flight battery and charger included
  • Durable lightweight airframe

I’ve had mine for about a year now and it flew great until about 10 minutes agoi was flying the drone around a bit until it was about 500 feet away when i lost control and fell to the ground. I had thought it had gone out of range but as i approached it smoke came out of the bottom of the canopy. I kicked it over and tryed to remove the battery before it caused any further damage to the drone but the 2 plastic battery connector leads where melted together and the insulation of the wired where melted off. Later on i tried disconnecting the battery leads with plyers but that resulted in me just pulling the wires right out of the battery. I did not buy this off amazon but pleas consider this before buying.

I bought this at my local hobby store on the recommendation of the sales representative because i wanted to learn to fly a quad and be able to take some videos and pictures. When i opened the box i was amazed at how fragile this quad is. I read several reviews that said the 180 is “durable”. If i had been more knowledgeable i would chosen differently. Pros: it is fun to fly once you learn how to control it. It is extremely light and any breeze can cause you to lose it if you panic. Cons: let me count the ways. Anyone who says it is must be used to playing with soap bubbles. Nor is it a good quad to learn on. I practiced for three days indoors in a large room before taking it out doors. The landing gear broke on the first flight. I replaced the landing gear twice and each broke the same way the first one did.

I bought the 180qx mainly because of the price, i am looking into getting into the multirotors/quadcopters and fpv flying – all very interesting to me – i thought i would use the 180qx as a rc toy, but after getting the camera set up, i have used it primarily as a ‘lets see how high it can go and what it can see’ kind of thing. For the price, it is well worth it if you’re looking into this hobby. Once i get comfortable enough with this quad i am going to make the plunge and get a stingray 500 – and shortly thereafter a realtime fpv setup.

Arrived on time and as promised.

I’ve had one of these for about 6 months now and i love it. It’s very durable and replacement parts are cheap. It is not a very powerful quadcopter and will not lift much weight, but is perfect for beginners. There are 3 modes which adjust the angle of flight, which help quickly change the flying behavior for indoor or outdoor use. The first setting keeps the angle of attack low for indoor use, the second setting increases the angle of attack for outdoor use, and the third removes the limiting system and allows unlimited control of the quad. To get the video camera working properly, you will need a class 4 sd card. I do not believe this is mentioned in any of the documentation. If you use a class 10, the video files might not save and the camera might refuse to work. I use a 4gb class 4 micro sd card and it works perfectly. Also, the battery life is, in my opinion, okay.

Disadvantages: like other evaluations i also broke the landing gear on the initial working day. The digicam is just about worthless, it shuts off all the time, possibly due to utilizing a good quality 32 gb memory card. Digicam could use extra information in documentation. Does handle to acquire stills alright. Also tore up a prop already. Battery must be held tighter so it will not shift and transform cg so uncomplicated. Execs : it is enjoyment to fly and relativity tough, superior for follow in advance of investing in a lot more highly-priced craft. Other assessments that complain about flimsy you should not fully grasp that it truly is all about fat, lighter body weight things appears to be flimsy. It will not raise much fat but it really is not designed to.

Films are grainy but that is alright.

to be distinct, this is my very first ever quadcopter. I preferred (and nevertheless do) to purchase the blade chroma but immediately after digging into the online i listened to the overwhelmingly amount of suggestions to get started small. They said, never devote $1,000 or a lot more on a quadcopter as your initial becuase you require ‘some’ experience right before getting on a larger machine. Though the chroma’s and many others in it is really class have gps and usually situations other functions that make it nearly fly by itself, they say when there is an issue you ought to know how to take care of it manually. I will say thank you for all of those who say that, because i listened and now possess the blade 180 qx hd and couldn’t be much more happy. I went with the blade 180 qx hd mainly because the price tag issue to commence rtf was below $200, most opinions confirmed it was rough, was enjoyment to fly, it experienced a digital camera (more on that later in the review) and was a fantastic learned. To that i would agree a hundred%i bought the all set to fly (rtf) model which suggests you get anything you require to fly in the box, given that this was my to start with quadcopter and initially radio traveling anything at all i did not have everything prior to this buy and was precisely what i wanted. The bnf (bind and fly) version will come with every thing except for a remote. If you have a remote you presently know this but for a starter like me i make this difference. Distant/modes:i was involved about the remote currently being inexpensive, following all the value variance between the rtf and bnf was only $thirty in this article on amazon, and i figured a $30 remote would be junk but it is great for a novice like me.

My spouse was thrilled with this gift. His initial flight landed him 15 toes in a tree. I have loved watching him, like a minimal boy with a new toy.

Blade makes excellent products and this all-in-one set is a very good starter set for the price.

It was a gift and the person loved it.

This is the best sub $200 quad kit on the market. The blade 180qx is without a doubt, one of the top dogs in the quadcopter game. The quad itself is very sleek and flies as steady as it gets, combined with a very athletic performance – it goes over the top. No other quadcopter under $200 can even compete. It’s expensive for a reason: it is the best. It can handle anything you throw at it and the engines themselves last forever. This coming from someone who has owned 5 other quadcopters, most recently the traxxas alias (before this). There are other quads out there in this price range like the rc logger one eye xtreme or the traxxas alias, but they do not offer what this quad/kit do. The 720p camera is not exactly go-pro quality, but it will do fine. The transmitter is not the best, but it is affordable.

Assembled, effortless to fly, the 500mah battery isn’t going to in good shape to well, to little, purchase the 600mah batteries as your spares. I have flown about ten-15 batteries value and i have not broken anything however. I’d say its amazingly resilient for what it is. When taking it outside exercise in a substantial industry and make positive there is practically no wind. It can get away from you quite swiftly.

A ton of pleasurable although performing to polish flying expertise for a larger sized drone.

If you are on the lookout into a large functionality racing quad but really don’t nevertheless have flying techniques: start in this article. As a reward, you’ll almost certainly never get fatigued of this fun and very well-intended equipment. This quad can also easily be tailored for fpv. A swift research on thingverse will give you a few 3d-printable alternatives to decide on from. I designed the the 3d printed aspect in the photos myself it can be observed there and downloaded for free of charge. Super stable, predictable and responsiveit provides acro method as an alternative so you can apply stunts and superior traveling abilities. This is a critical characteristic if you are training for a racer. It also keeps the quad from acquiring uninteresting by supplying an extended understanding curve. Lightweight at ~ 80g with the battery.

Guidelines go away a whole lot to be wanted.

Why is this old quad copter with crappy brushed motors priced at 300. I`ve had one for years, it was a pretty good quad back in the day, i still fly it every now and then. There are a lot of brushless quads for way under 300. 00 dollars that will fly circles around this dinosaur.
